  • Our ultimate starter selection to get your GIY journey really started

This large sized GROWBox is our ultimate starter box for the beginner GIYer who really wants to get stuck in.  This is a box full of possibility – imagine yourself tucking in to bountiful tomatoes, nutritious beetroot, crunchy carrots, sweet garden peas and delicious oriental salad leaves.  But before you get there, you’ve got to grow them.

    What’s in the GROWBox?

      • Seeds x 10 - Beetroot (Detroit Globe), Carrots (Autumn King), Tomatoes (Sungold), Salad (Mixed Oriental Greens), Lettuce (Baby Gem), Peas (Greenshaft), Chilli (Basket of Fire), Rocket (Wild), Squash (Crown Prince), Courgette (Defender).
      • 1 Pencil and notepad and plant labels – always a good plan to jot down your sowing dates, progress and good intentions; and to label pots.
      • Pots/Trays for sowing some of your seeds in to:
        • Rice Husk pots: 2 x 9cm and 2 x 1L
        • Coir pots: 8 x 8cm, 2 x 10cm
        • Coir seed trays x 3
      • Compost –  bulks out when you add water
      • 250g bag Seaweed Feed - for feeding your soil
      • A little grow your own Guide (stuffed with loads of stuff we’ve learned about growing)
  • Where to grow them:

You might have a 2 acre field, or a tiny apartment, a suburban back garden or allotment. Most veg (with the exception of the carrots) benefit from being started off in a smaller pot or tray and then transplanted when they get a little bigger.  We recommend sowing the seeds on a windowsill inside your house or apartment to start. When the seedlings get a little bigger, we will be moving them in to bigger pots to grow them either inside or outside on your balcony, terrace, patio or veg patch.
