This is a Bulgarian variety of squash. The fruits are round, slightly flattened and reach a weight of 8-10 Kg. The peel is thin and gray, the core is yellow-orange, juicy and very suitable for cooking various salty and sweet cooked foods.
Mid April until late May
Sow individual seeds into small pots (7 cm) or large modules and keep in a warm place. Pot on into a 10 cm pot when ready. Plant out in late May-June after hardening off. Initial protection with a cloche isÂ beneficial.
Spacing: between plants 1.2m They always need more space than you expect so don't skimp on bed size.
