Swede Gowrie

One of the easiest vegetables to grow in Ireland, even for complete beginners. A sweet, tasty variety the gowrie has yellow flesh and purple skin. Sow outdoors from late spring to early summer, harvest in autumn as needed and can be left in the ground over the winter. Very hardy, frost resistant and very low maintenance. Yes we know in Ireland these are commonly called turnips but technically they're swedes.
