GROW Your Own Organic Fruit – Sun 27th Oct

Regular price £68.00 £0.00 Unit price per
Tax included.
Most of the work for fruit growing, apart from picking, takes place in the dormant season, November to March, when we focus on planning, planting and pruning. This course is perfect for beginners and seasoned gardeners who want to grow fresh, organic fruit at home.
What you’ll learn:
  • Planning and preparing the site – for a healthy, productive fruit garden
  • Selecting what varieties to grow in our Irish conditions
  • Organic Techniques
By the end of the day, you will leave with the confidence to plan, plant, and maintain your own organic fruit garden, ensuring healthy and abundant harvests.
You'll also enjoy a delicious plot-to-plate mezze lunch overlooking the HQ Gardens (or in the garden if weather permits) and get the chance to meet and learn from fellow seed-savers. There will be coffee, tea and scones on arrival and a seasonal cordial for an afternoon pick-me-up.

Please arrive 10 minutes before the course starts and come dressed appropriately for a day spent outdoors in the garden: sturdy footwear, rain jackets, suncream, etc.
