Celeriac - Giant Prague
Celeriac ‘Giant Prague’ is a heritage variety from around 1871. It is now considered an heirloom variety and is still perhaps one of the standard cultivars.
Globe shaped with a slightly flattened base, it produces fine-grained white flesh with a taste that is reminiscent of the main ingredients in Waldorf salad: celery, apples, and walnuts with a creamier texture, similar to a potato.
Sow: March - April
Harvest: September to December
