About the Author

Michael Kelly is founder of GIY.  He has written columns on food and health for The Irish Times, The Irish Independent and Food & Wine Magazine. Michael is presenter with Karen O’Donohoe of the RTE 1 TV series GROW COOK EAT, which was filmed on location at GROW HQ in Waterford. Michael is a member of the Irish Food Writers Guild and The Taste Council, and received the ‘Local Food Hero’ award at the 2017 Irish Restaurant Awards. GIY is a not-for-profit social enterprise that supports people to grow some of their own food at home, school, work and in the community.

All proceeds from the sale of the book go towards GIY, helping us to inspire and support more people to grow their own food.
